Extension demolished!
During 2024, our Meeting House has undertaken major building works. Now largely completed, these enable our regular Meetings and the general life of our Quaker community to continue for many years to come.
A cloakroom extension had been added to the Meeting House in the mid-19th century, but its foundations were subsiding and the structure needed complete replacement and rebuilding.
Furthermore, the cottage at the front of the building was damp, and desperately needed bringing up to 21st century standards; it is now let again to new tenants, and the income from this helps sustains our Meeting.
